longs or birfield eliminator kit?

just been reading up on sky manufacturings site and found these

at $400 USD they're cheaper than a set of 30 spline longs but are they better?

They are nowhere near as good as longs. And they're UJ's. Also, if you break a long, it'll get replaced free. I dont think you'll ever break a long though.

also a new birfield is about $80 ish dollars..
can ya get spares of the uj's? and how much?
i'd go longs..

Longfields all the way. You want to see what we do to them, and we haven't had 1 break yet.
As an aside, Between 4 trucks we used to break 2 - 4 std birfields every time we went out for a good run, nothing worse than replacing cv's in the middle of a river bed

.
And they sure are purrrdee.

strength wise they are about 3/4's the strength of Longs but they are still a big improvement over standard... Seen it in a Pirate listing, just can't find it again, oh and something interesting 30spline Longs are only just weaker than cro-moly dina60's

you can see why they last
If you go with these axles find out what size and common fittings the crosses are from you could find they are only common on jeeps or some other american iron, meaning you'll have to wait for replacements when you need them
