Cheap or 2nd Hand Lift Springs

So wondering if anyone knows where to buy cheap lift springs or has any they wish to part with for a SWB Escudo 1.6.

Looking for 2" lift springs or similar.

I know that you can use the LWB or V6 springs as they are designed to hold a larger load and give a lift but then the light SWB doesn't compress them as much so you lose travel so would rather not go down this route but may consider if a bargain presents itself :D

Thanks

James

That's basically how a spring lift works. You loose down travel but gain up travel so the overall remains the same unless the spring rate is so high that the weight of the vehicle cannot compress the spring to the end of the shock travel. Pretty sure that doesn't happen with the V6 springs in a SWB as it a 30mm-40mm lift.

Personally I think the V6 LWB spring option on a SWB should be a pretty good option. It keeps the centre of gravity low by not lifting too high, SWB ramp over angle is much better than a LWB so less lift is required to clear the same obstacle. Can anyone verify this?

I've used Cobra 50mm lift springs which went really well in my LWB but I had to extend all the shocks as the suspension bottomed out all the time due to the extra height.

Aah, the good old search function. What's that?

Spanky's budget Vitara lift thread never gets old, just a little dusty from not being searched enough!!!!!
 :)

The V6 springs are an option but I read the science behind the same length spring with a higher loading and a longing spring with less loading. The 2nd one will compress to a greater degree giving better travel but at the right price I would still be keen.

I saw some old V6 springs on trademe for $300 which I thought was quite pricy compared with new lift springs.

I did use the search function but I am also asking if anyone has any springs that they would like to sell, search function doesn't help with that.
