Red Rocks CLOSED

Post by skid »

Hi everyone.

Please note that WCC have closed the quarry gate to the South Coast and Red Rocks etc. due to track damage as a result of this week’s storm.

The gate will remain closed for an indefinite period until council have a chance to assess the damage and a remedial plan is put in place and executed in order to make the track safe.

For any further information refer to WCC.

Branches up around the toilet window!!!

Them there some big waves!! That would be at least 15 feet above normal height and a long way in as well

you would be our best bet for pics

seeing as how the gate is locked 24/7 at the moment so we cant drive around there :(

make sure you take lots of pics and be sure to post them up here for our perusal

hi malcom, send me your email address. i got around to your batch today, has some body already cleaned it up?
the batch it self looks clean as, dosnt look like the tide has made it that far up, it made it just shy of your hedge.

the drive needs a small amount of work, nothing too major.

send me your email, and ill get the pictures over to you
cheers

Went for that walk on Saturday avro. The gate is still locked and by the looks of the 1/2 hour walk in it will be locked for quite some time. It would be difficult for the majority of vehicles and drivers to safely navigate the coast.

Hi all,

We have had a contractor on site for the last few days and will finish on friday, so all going well gate will be open friday afternoon ready for Saturday. Gate will be closed on Sunday as normal. We have done some very basic fix up work to get access back, please note though access is not at the same level that it once was. There is a bit more beach driving required now.

Cheers

Hi Steve, on behalf of the ORE crew, I would like to say thank you to you and your team for doing what they have, I haven't been out there yet but I do intend to do that soon.

You guys do a great job in keeping an area we like to use open, please let us know if there is anything that we can do to assist you with maintenance around the coast, we always have people willing to help out where they can.

Cheers
