1991 Hilux Surf for sale (modded) NEW PICS UP

Hey guys, time to very regretfully sell my project form the last few years.
No more mabeys about keeping it just a little longer as I have to buy a house and get out of the rent trap!

Here is what it has become since the standard old box it was when I bought it:

Stainless steel snorkel that everyone loves how it looks (unbreakable too)
Fresh recon 2.8 (3L) and new head (done 10,000kms so just run in now)
Turbo and intercooler running approx 12psi so reliable and enough power to pull it through some stupid mud holes
33" kumhos on 15x10 rims
2 inch suspension and 2 inch body lift
Rear air locker and a large tank plumbed in for on board air for tyre inflation ect
Manual hubs for cv joint life (suspension lifts kill cv's on surfs without them)
27mhz and 477mhz cb radios
Awesome sounds and sub in boot, 240v inverter power supply bolted to sub box
Damn near indestructible front bull bars adapted to fit after the body lift (air tanks behind them FYI)
Roof lights are adjustable so you can point them out the sides for close track night runs
Never seen salt water and no rust anywhere, been well looked after with regular engine, diff and g/box oil changings

Comes with all the gear, snatch strap and shackel that goes in the removable tow bar mount, STAUN tyre deflators, air line and fitting for pumping up the tyres again, hand held radio so you can lend it to someone without one and keep in touch with the truck mounted one

Probably loads more stuff I have forgotten so will update and add more photos as required.

Let me know what you guys think its worth, Need as much money as possible for a house so if theres not much interest or pathetic offers for it I will have one last play at the lake daniels trip and part it out instead, be a shame to sell it in bits but I will either sell it to one of you guys who will look after it, or I will scrap it, if a boy racer turns up to buy it because it looks cool I wont sell it to them, only someone who will actually use it for what I built it for

I had been offered 11k before I added the bullbar, 2.5 exhaust and rear locker so thinking 12k about right, thats as low as I can go anyway. if not sold here see what trademe interest I get

Hi 2.8Surf, it's your vehicle and you do what you want with it but at the end of the day it's worth what someone will pay for it. lots of us have spent thousands of dollars and thats not counting hours on vehicles and then got a lot less than we wanted. Myself----- I spent well over 20k, had a lot of fun ---- spent more and sold for what the market would pay ---- well under half. If you part it out you will still be under half value, will take years and you will sell the easy parts first and then be left with the slow moving parts. Your call but I still say it's a 1991 SURF with mods =,

I'm with Smokey on this one .

I recently sold a 95 1kz manual surf ,low KM's , with the same mods and more custom bar work . but without some of the small accessories . I took 9g for mine, proborbly could have got a little more if held out .
reason it moved was desirable 1kz Manual , setup and priced right .

you can buy a hell of a lot of truck for 10k , people are very appreshensive to go over that mark.
time spent is worth nothing and mods are only worth half there value at most .

yea im happy to admit im asking for a little more than most, was the new engine I wanted the extra for not the mods but never mind.
think ill he happier parting it as it means I can keep a few bits for next project, probably only make 8k tops as parts but its all good, more realistic is ill prob get 6k but thats still 6k towards a house so im happy

certed for everything but the bodylift, that was pending but wont bother if parting obviously (my local wof shop dosent care so never got around to bothering with updating the cert plate)
