first of the suzi was having problems with the t-case
I replaced the bearings a few times and the gear box was getting bad to.

So i try-ed to get an adapter plate to put the G52(Toyota) gear box behind the 1.6 16 valve.
At the same time a mate was was putting a 3y E (efi)engine in to his 3y carby hilux. He sold the lux and had the engine and box sitting there so i got it cheap and started to put it in the suzi.

first off i cut the trans tunnel out

Just out of curiosity , pull one bolt out of one side of the front links to diff mounts and see if it flex's any better .
From the pic I would expect that to be a bit tight unles there is a slip joint you can't see .

Nice work thou , looks good .

Cheers

worked on the suzi this week. tried and get the wiring done.
But the dash loom was missing so i'am how after the dash loom
from a 3Y E toyota surf/hilux.
it goes from the computer to the ignition and has a few relays on it.

I have taken the frount gards off as well to make it easy to work
on and put a clutch master cylinder on off a Mitsubishi vr4 as the bolt
holes are straight up an down.
fitted the doors and driver seat.

so all i did was tidy a few things up

Image

and re did same welds

Image
Image

also showed off the flex on the hoist

I got my BL and harder springs on Monday and went
out and fitted it all up only took about 1 1/2 hours
and the clutch fork now miss the body

And got the wiring loom on wendsday so i will
go and check if it is going to work this weekend
iam also going to take the engine and trans
out so i can get the engine mounts re welded
as they do not look the best. I don't want to have
a problem when it cames to cert

The t-case and the Birfield eliminator kit
are just about through customs

also ordered a set of LED tail lights with Reverse in them from NARVA
they are comming to nz by the end of the month.
So i will now have to get a rear bar made to put them in.

Put most of the wiring loom in now.
All i need now is to get a hold of a wiring diagram to finsh it off.
We did not have the right wiring diagram at our local toyota dealer.
