Getting near cert time on my sj413, just reading up about driveshft loops as il need one.
I know this is probably a dumb question  but......
Just wondering what driveshaft it goes on? the rear or the gearbox to transfer one? or both?

Cheers Dean

on the rear. from memory needs to 150 mm from the uj if its a one piece drive shaft on my old ute i had to run two because of the two piece design. the hoops have to be a certain size too 50mm by 5mm its all on the low volume cert web page.

I know when I repowered my Holden I had to have 2 hoops as the drive shaft is in 2 sections. What a pain that was.

ah forget about my dribble, as if I had read the post properly then there is no discussion on the front shaft ah

Cheers for the replies but it still doesn't quite answer my question.

As the sj413 has a divorced transfer case does this make it a 2 piece driveshaft? so then i would need one for the gearbox > transfer shaft then another for the transfer > rear diff shaft?
Or just one on the rear shaft?
the lvvta clarification doesn't really clarify this for me :?

Thanks Dean

Deano!
I booked the truck in for monday for cert i need one too!!! (Must be for my masive horsepower 8) increase!!) got the specs off Don Hoff they require a 50x5 full hoop within 150mm from front UJ behind transfer only on the rear driveshaft i have full spec sheet if you wana grab it from me? Also be careful how you weld/mount up ur buckies they ideally gota be done by cert welder, But don said my mounts should be fine just means he gota take them out to inspect fully! Im getting some flatbar and benders u want me to bend up a hoop for u?
