Hilux advice wanted on fitting pintle hook

So I'm new to the scene and still learning. Over the weekend went on a trip into the Akatarawas with ccvc club and the day before the trip i decided that my towbar needed to f**k off.
Heaps more clearance! But in hindsight i wish i had thought this through a bit better.
I want to attach a pintle hook ( http://www.4wdbits.co.nz/ProductDetails ... uctID=4150 ) or a combination pintle ( http://www.4wdbits.co.nz/ProductDetails ... uctID=4151 ) to the rear of my ute.
What would be the best way to do this?
I'm thinking get a welder/engineer to use the bar that the towbar came off and weld a plate to attach pintle to?
Bar should be legit since it was made to have a towbar on it anyway, right? Also according to ccvc rules your not supposed to tow of a towbar - but surely this would be ok?
Any advice/suggestions would be much appreciated - also any recommendations on where to get it done!
