Cheers for the reply. Yeah that's the one - it's closed now. But was wondering what you think the value was. It's not mine - just looking at buying it but unsure of how much it;s actually worth. A Toyota mechanic mate of mine said solid front axle's were built up until 1998 (so this must have been one of the last).
How much do you think the truck is worth?

Ahh dano, there all overpriced!
Coming from somebody that just bought a hilux.
They all seem to be around 10k if there rough or tidy. If i remember it correct you could pick up a better one.Could Be a bit underpowered 2.8 with 35s I imagine.

Would it be worth $9,000?

When i was looking to buy recently, a 1996 diesel double cab with those km were $12000. With those extras i'm thinking the guy would want more. Price would vary depending on how good the motor is (in terms of wear) and also panels and underneath etc.

I had a mate who is a Toyota mechanic have a look and he thought it looked really good - he had a look all through the engine and underbody etc

yes, very good, given what your mechanic friend has observed.
But do take note of the comments above by an earlier poster about the engine power of the (usually super reliable) 2.8 litre diesel versus the big wheels.

Cheers for that! Yeah, would putting it on 33's be better AND more fuel efficient?

http://www.trademe.co.nz/613290403 better more original example IMO, I wouldnt buy an ex mine vehicle to be honest.. I work in one.
If your dead keen, try talk him down as low as possible. I wouldn't buy it just because its lifted on 35s...
