Where to get spare parts

Hi,
as mentioned in the other thread, I want to buy a Jeep Cherokee XJ when I'm in NZ.
Now I'm wondering where to buy spare parts... If I should need some...
Do you have some local dealers, who have Jeep parts - or do you import all the stuff from USA?
Any hints appreciated.

Welcome to NZ the land of the long white cloud when you get down here

,
never owned a jeep but there are plenty of dealers around NZ so parts etc arent a problem.... dunno about aftermarket accessories though, may have to import some of them?

LOL @ Sadam..... the other 5 % of us just swear!!
Theres outlets across the country for Jeep parts, but not too cheap. There's also a few wreckers, but up here (in the North, dont know about the South Island) they're fairly specialised. for example, in the waikato/BOP area theres only one wrecker that has any XJ's and that's in Tauranga.
And even then, the parts aint that cheap.
I guess it depends on what your after. Repco/Appco have all the general maintainence bits and pieces thet youd ever need.

Thanks for your answers.

I thought of gaskets, belts, spark plugs, distributor cap, ignition wires, fuel filter, air filter, oil filter , brake pads and so on, for example.
I would say "normal maintenance parts".
Can I get that stuff at Repco/Appco?
Do you have some Internet addresses of these outlets, you mentioned?

outlets all over the country mate, every town/city has them
http://www.repco.co.nz/
and appco is essentially the same thing but a different name, i find they have nicer people as a general rule but some repco branches have good people too, as long as you get someone who knows what they are on about
