96 Disco 2 TDi auto.....Blick blink blink.......

Post by Disco Gofer »

Why oh why does the right hand indicator (both front and rear) start flashing like I'm turning right (when I'm not...) as soon as I lock the door with the factory remote?
Started yesterday on a buddy's Disco and can't Google any info not this!

If I lock with the key it's perfect but use the remote and it blinks for ever, does'nt stop after a few minutes or pulses etc.

Cheers guys.

i'd try disconnecting the battery for a while to see if it resets?

I tried that for 10 mins and its the same. But only the right side indicators flash which is very strange! I have Googled the subject to death and nothing shows up. I tried the hazards and all 4 lights flash like they should but using the remote to lock sets off the right hand side only.....got me stumped.
I'm wondering is the green alarm box is faulty as it has a tilt switch in it and may be playing up causing odd faults....will keep trying. Thanks.

If trying a reset by disconnecting battery you need to have it disconnected for 30 minutes to an hour at least.
