hey guys im after a moderate lift for my escudo its a 88 shitter big exhaust ,235/75 mudders and the tyres just rub on the inner guards in the front soooooo...
the question is .. what are the options I have read the forums and know about the Nissan springs ,lwb springs and obviously going aftermarket ,today I went all out and went to pick apart and got e30 bmw rear shocks wich everyone says to use with the Nissan springs
how ever
whilst I was there I saw a lwb escudo no diff housing but shocks and springs still in there ,me being me I grabbed the springs as the shocks were fuc*ed so left them there
so the question is will some one tell me : how much of a lift will each give me ?
also what do I do in the front end guys ?
cheers I will upload pics when I figure it out ...

lwb will give you about an inch at a guess. the cheap lift combo will give a bit more. Rear combo is great but fronts are a bastard due to cv angles etc etc. The one we did ended up nose down with harsh cv angles. needed diff lowering or something.

there is a good thread
http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/Forums/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=5626&start=30Been a while since we did it but most of the info is there. From memory I would use all the cheap lift bits but find aftermarket front springs that are meant for the job cos I wasn't happy with the result. mean for a bush truck but not a roadie as wof man wouldn't have been happy with me heating and bending the springs to make em fit

c33/commy shocks in the rear and ea springs up front with the top hat flip. the bmw shocks in the rear might have been better but it got sold before that option was investigated. i think it might have even had stock front shocks cos it was planned to fit shock spacers from bits4vits but they weren't added until the diff could be lowered. Got sold mid build.
