Hi I have just bought a 95 (r50) diesel Terrano. Its had no mods. Im wanting to use it for the occasional fishing trip with the family. Any suggestions on what it/I need before heading out? I'm out west Auckland.

Welcome - hope you truck gives you a heap of fun and gets you to some great spot X's!

By far and away the best way to work out what you need for your truck is by getting some seat time and learning what it and you can and cannot do.

Hook up with some the local guys from here and go exploring.

By learning a bit more about your truck, you hopefully will not end up spending money on mods that you perhaps did not really need to do..

Now, wanting to do mods is a whole other ball game!

Thanks for the welcome. Its my daily driver so don't want to do anything I don't have to. Pretty keen to get it off road, nothing to exciting just up the beach and back :D

Depending on your tyres.
I apologize if i'm telling you how to suck eggs.
Beach driving more about the driver than the vehicle.
Lower pressures 10-15 psi are a good start and will give you less dramas with getting stuck.
A long handle shovel then maybe a exhaust jack to unstuck yourself when the unavoidable happens.
If you come to halt and your tyres are spinning. stop. stop digging yourself a hole. be gentle and rock your way out.

Thanks Colinl. That is the kind of info I'm after. The tyres are A/T.
