Just got one of these cheap as a farm runabout but need a few bits (rear axle seal, rear wheel brake cylinders and some u-bolts.
Where is the best place to get hold of these parts and other stuff i might need, in the south island?
Look forward to hearing from some Suzuki owners, thanks.
Suzuki MG410 parts ??
Re: Suzuki MG410 parts ??
I'm assuming you're talking about the Indian made Farmworker. There are two versions of these, the early one uses the same running gear as the Jap SJ410, the later one is the same except for the diffs which are the same as a Samurai but with the SJ410 4.11 ratio. I am not sure whether the axle seals are different between those diffs. An easy way to tell what model you have is whether it has metal flares on the front, the later ones have them due to the wider diffs. There are a few different brake cylinders so it would pay to take them with you when buying new ones to make sure you get the right ones, same with the shoes. If it has a leaking axle seal there will be oil in the brakes, which means new shoes are needed. It's highly likely that the reason the seal is leaking is because the wheel bearing is worn, so it would be a good idea to replace it. There are two types of wheel bearings for SJ models, the first has the bearing with a separate spacer and the second has it built in. The bearings with a built in spacer are quite a bit more expensive so it would be a good idea to see what type it has. Should be able to get parts at Partmaster/Repco/BNT etc. Or if you I'm sure someone on here will have some spare u-bolts lying around.

Hmmm... a lot of good information in that answer thanks.
It is the rusty Maruti version yes
It is the wide diff version i guess because it has the metal flares over front wheels.
Ill go try repco or bnt and see how helpful they are, sometimes they dont want to know about these kind of vehicles
Thanks for the input, im a bit new to the suzuki repairs but they seem simple enough and a big plus is everything doesnt weigh a ton like my FJ40's
