Split Transfer info/upgrade

So thought i would update this post for all the land cruiser owners out there,
Here is some information i found out while doing this to my landcruiser.
Split transfer cases are interchangeable between each other based on the year of manufacture as the only change made was to the idler shaft size
34mm idler shaft was superseded in
1984. by the 38mm idler shaft
And sure there's only 2 Different ratios from factory
1.963
and
2.295
But it's still one step closer to turning those larger tires where it matters
"What ratio do i have?"

so what ive found (i think) is that 34mm idler shaft was superceded in
1984. by the 38mm idler shaft so going by that as long as the 70 playdoh has a split case transfer and is after 1984 it should all transfer over giving me a 2.2-1 low ratio vs my current 1.9-1 low ratio and replace the worn out bits lol
any other ideas or corrections that anyone wants to add?
Cheers jordan

I didn't realise that the playdoh used the r151 gearbox.. which the split case transfer.. that's why I thought it had a "hilux " type transfer..
As you were..

Yes from my observations and research the two are the same (38mm) later model ones just the low range ratio was different between the two...
