Limited slip center diff

Decided to change transfer gears in my 110 as it had the 1.333 gears in it and was no good on road so I stripped a spare rr lt95 box I had for the higher gears only to discover it had the early limited slip diff which means different lower output gear to my center diff spline . It is bit to hard for me change output shafts brake drum etc in place due to back probs , so may be some one is interested in the whole lot all trans gears shafts etc . Your opinions please , I have a good complete box still with .995 gearing but I will wait till I get a 3.9 or larger motor . the lsd clutch pack looks good with no burnt smell but I am new to this type of center disc I presume it will be smoother running than the newer style diff . cheers nick

Hi nick, what are you wanting to do out of all this? just wanting a higher range gearset? the LSD centre diff's are pretty rare indeed! would be very early RR

Hi I was looking at a easy gear change to do 100ks at 2700rpm instead of 3300 rpm eg cheaper running till I get a new motor to suit my .995 ratio box .
I dont want to get into changing outputshafts etc if the lsd needs a rebuild as its not my thing . Its just that Im old school and remember been screwed over in the 70s and 80s and may be this lsd and gearing is really good and some one can do it justice . my truck has a rough rebuild but travels over the rimutakas and then the flatroads so needs more grunt for the .995 box to get the max economy and use it more often . to be honest I have the LR infection this is my 10th truck and a monument to stupidity, I have relys inthe naki and must meet sometime . cheers nick

Don't we all! Im up to number 8 and Im not all that old! I have a 1.13 gearset you can have, but the centre diff does need some attention, easy fix if you have other parts lying around. 1.13 should give you your 2700rpm. My 110 when I got it did 3100rpm at 100 but it was so quiet that it didn't matter, smooth as silk. Got 15l/100 km from Hawkes bay to Taranaki, that wasn't pissing around either
