looks like i have cooked my front diff after the truck broke down. (hole in radiator :( ) We towed the truck for about an hour home but one of the kids must have bumped the centre difflock switch  , so with the ignition on i didnt notice the truck was in 4wd. when we got home after the tow i noticed a burning smell from the truck. i noticed diff oil all under the vehichle the diff was hot as hell (i mean so hot that water would hiss when i splashed a puddle on it) yes it was raining aswell to make the situation even more enjoyable after putting a hole in my radiator and now a cooked diff

will be taking the diff apart next week but am told that i will prob be in for a r&p and new bearings. the beerings are cheap but the r&p are a different story :(
will see what they look like but does anyone have any good gears that they have taken out to change ratio or spares laying around to make my little job a bit cheaper
thanks

My flatmate has a front set of 4.1 nitrogears that he took out to fit 4.88s instead. They've only done 3000km ish so in brilliant condition. He wants $200 for them if you're interested 8)

Yep they are, and it even came out of an e locker. Bearing kits are different however
