work ute shat the one way clutch on the alternator.
whipped that out and got it fixed, but when i went to refit it i noticed a water hose had a bulge out the side of it.
so replaced that but when i pulled the intake off i noticed splits in the turbo hose........and in the other turbo hose...............and in the intake hose

its like fixing rust......you always find more!

milking early so we can get to aucks to pick up a complete front diff for a gq including arms shocks...i had tried to take the right hand arm out of my truck to check the bushes on the chassis end and snapped the nut of the end of the arm so looked at the quad truck(swb) and raided its one so you can guess whats happening sunday

wired up the hellas ... managed to get puzzle nuts of and got a new set (don't recommended losing the key tool). Took drums of to do rear brake cylinders, discovered I need to do wheel bearings and seals in the rear diff....so I looked at the front swivels may need to put a kit in them to im thinking............great.

Another afternoon on the project... arm mounts all tacked in and ones on the center of the diff welded and braced.
Back tomorrow for the day with the aim of finishing the front end off arm wise. Still debating the shock and spring placement. Might drop the outside lower diff arms down to help with the torque.
Just found a m90 supercharger kit minus the super charger for 1000usd so sorted a long term plan
Still aiming to be at the 24hr comp might not be finished but ideally driveable and have a winch.
Ill post some pics in the build thread tomorrow.

My mates hub nuts failed on Lillybank road coming back from macauly hut. There was no thread left on the stub so a spot of riveting took place!

Gave the Lux a birthday and changed oil and filter, cleaned out bees and leaves from the air filter and removed mud and debris from the inside

Fixed the f**king oil leak

The workshop who used to maintain the truck for the last owner were dodgy pricks, not only did they not tighten the crank bolt, they also put the wrong crank seal in. There was no listing in the parts book for the motor in my truck, so all I had to go off was the old seal which was 40x55x8. The crankshaft is 38mm so they must have retensioned the spring in the seal to make it sort of work. So two new seals and about 10hrs of f**king around it's sorted.

Finely fixed the irritating vibration in the Safari (most of the time just a very slight fine vibe but every now and then it got real violent to the point that the gear stick was shacking enough to hit the PTO lever when in 5th

). After weeks of checking mounts, bushes etc I discovered the new rear drive shaft UJ's I put in when I did the clutch had come about 1mm lose front and back on the same plane.
