diffs not fully engaging

Hi all i own a 94 jeep Cherokee and im having issues with my diffs/ drive train when im out 4x4ing, the trans seems to lock into 4h and 4L with no problems but when i get into sticky situations the power isn't evenly distributed, ive done a bit of research online but nothings helping me answer my problem.
is there any former xj owners that have encounted this issue
jeep has a NP242 trans and dana 30 front diff and dana 35 in rear

do you mean that all 4 wheels do not spin at the same speed?
as in one wheel on an axle spins and the other doesnt?
if so do some googling on how a differential AKA diff works

k well after doing a wee bit of research i guess the question is how do eliminate the issue

That would be by fitting lockable differentials, there are many different kinds = more research

one spins and the other doesn't,ive noticed also at times when in 2d and on shingle it will pull a mono, i under stand there semi floating but i thought the rear diff is LSD, if both wheels are on even surface and flat shouldn't both of them spin?

When only one wheel is spinning I'm assuming.
If you do have an LSD fitted to the rear and it is working you are right in saying that a "mono" shouldnt happen. Perhaps your LSD is past it's best???
Jack up the rear axle and spin one wheel. If the wheel on the other end turns the same way you have an LSD fitted, if it spins the opposite direction its an open diff.

yea when only one wheel spins and thank you will jack my truck up tonight after work and check it out

Someone has to say it
An LSD such as what you have in your truck doesn't lock the wheels together.
That LSD only transfers a small amount of torque to the stationary wheel.
When you get stuck, 99% of the time you will only have one front wheel and one rear wheel spinning.
If you want to have all four wheels driving then you need these:
