Was there helping out Dan Connor with the debut of his freshly finished class 6 rig, also lending a hand to Raana, Klem & the Mullholland Bros.
The Landcruiser sitting in the sun before qualifying, happily unaware of the thrashing it was about to receive

Klem's well travelled Hilux

Can you tell we're new at this?

The plan for qualifying was to take it easy & cruise....

...Yeah Right. Qualified 2nd in class.
Klembo tests out the new shocks over the jump:

Saturday dawns, Raana in 3rd spot on the grid.

After the 1st lap things were looking good for the boys, Dan had picked up a few places, Klem was trucking & together with Lawler, Raana had put a 3 min gap on the rest of the field. Then it all went to shit with the end of Raana's rear axle housing breaking off, Dan rolling over & Klem rolling also as he skidded to a stop at the back of the queue behind Dan's incident!
A hasty repair on Raana's diff didn't hold so he was out but Dan & Klem got going again.

Dan was having issues with overheating & losing water which slowed things down for the rest of the day but he still got 7 laps in. Klem lunched a gearbox & was stranded out on the track for the afternoon.
The Mullholland's just kept cruising around happily!
At the end of the day we got Dan up on the Performance Mechanical mobile hoist to fix up some suspension damage from the roll over.

Next up was Klem for a quick gearbox change. But Sunday saw further issues so he knocked off around lunchtime.
Sunday was a heaps better day for Dan, with the cooling system issues fixed, & just a couple of minor electrical issues holding us up briefly, 9 laps were done & a heap of places gained to come in 39th overall, & 4th in Class 6 behind the Mullhollands in 3rd.
Cheers
