Beginner in Hawkes Bay

Hey guys

New to the site, seems like a good place to learn the trade from people who know what they're doing. I have a 1992 Nissan Terrano TD27 and it's stock standard (from what I can tell). Was wondering if any body knew some good beginner tracks in the Hawkes Bay region ( or even a few hours out of)?

Cheers guys

Jared

Hey Jared,

Whereabouts in hawkes bay are you? There are a couple of playgrounds around the place, and places like guavas forest are bloody good too, but need to go in with the clubs.

I live in Clive and was just looking for something to get my feet wet over the summer. Not looking for anything too intense at this stage.

Cheers

Welcome jmfame
If your interested in light (shiny) 4wding talk to the twin city 4wd club there runs range from gravel road social runs on up with a family attitude
The HB4WD club is more hard core they don't mind damage
There are some other clubs but they are either on the way out or groups that are running under club name to gain access to areas

there are a few groups that have no club interest (us) there is a group of young guys just up the road from me with near standard toys as well

As far as play areas that are local, Guppy Rd river access... just a mud play area next to the river
and Riverlands similar deal out Havelock way
before you go out for a play do you have decent tow hooks, factory tie down points aren't good enough for snatch recovery
