Hey guys,
Just found a couple of teeth in the front diff housing, when changing the oil.
Anyone suggest a good rebuild place, able to to setup Air lockers, in Chch?

Cheers

Hey guys pulled the diff out, all good (buggered yes) but out, found the culprit for the damage. It appears to be the axle guide/ oil baffle that sits in behind the inner oil seal.
Can't for the life of me find a part number and the guys at Toyota don't know what I'm talking about.
I've read a thread on IH8MUD about the very same thing and they reckon you have to change the entire axle housing?????

Anyone got any better ideas? or know what the part number is?

Cheers

Carl

Yeah mate, those are the same exploded views as the parts guys at Toyota sent me, but they don't show the guide, the closest part is the inner oil seal #43411D.
So don't know where to go from there.

According to the IH8MUD forum, you could run without them, but getting the axle located back into the diff will be a bitch :? not to mention the potential damage to the seal.

Ricks got the diff at the mo, so might have a word to him and see if he's come across the problem before?
