Hmmm looks like we missed a few weekends....
Anyhow... Finally fitted the window into the playdoh. Bit of a mish as I have never done it before. Getting the glass in was ok but slipping in the locking strip was painful.
Also got all my gear ready for the Manukau winch challenge. Helmet all setup with radio and headlight (for the night stages) Look a bit like a dalek ahhahah
Need to read the rules again as this is my first challenge.

The panel is 1.6mm electro galvanized... As for the rubber seal it was given to me by a fellow 4 wheeler... But I am told you can get it from caravan and automotive trimmers. comes in all sorts of sizes for the desired panel and glass combo's.

I did belts, waterpump tensioners etc.
And then put a LSD into the back of my Wizard.
Then tested it by dragging a caravan from Te Awamutu to Manukau.

What a weekend. I added a new car to the driveway
The line up is now, Safari, Hilux surf, discovery, wrx, falcon and Sentra.
Spent most of the day trying to get he disco going but fuel pump is dead.
Anyone got one lying around they would like to part with??
On a down side the holiday home in Kaeo got broken into and used as a sleep out for local teens to do robberies. So had to shoot up on Saturday to secure the house and clean up the mess. Even through the house was empty they still managed to make a mess

dumb asses didn't even take the pump.

Trip out to Pironoa with the Featherston 4X4 club. The 85mm of rain Friday night really upped the creek levels

, had water up to the base of the windscreen and struggling to get up stream to exit from the creek
We then headed out to Lake Ferry and found mud/clay to play in, more
After being covered in mud from roof to hubs it was only fitting to stop at the Lake Ferry pub and sit in the sun and enjoy a bowl of chips and ....a coke

Now old Blue Balls is running again after 10 months I organised a camping trip to Lake Coleridge. 13 people backed out because of the weather forecast. Turns out it shit itself in CHCH but myself and the 1 person that was still keen enjoyed clear skies, 19 degrees on the Saturday and 22 on Sunday. Managed to find a track that took us right up in to the snow. I'd forgotten how good it is to get out in to the high country and how much I love my Safari. It's like a mountain goat!

I would add pics but I have no idea how to. Not very tech savvy!
