TD42 +T for an Inline Pump
I'm looking around to work out how much to set aside to turbo my NA Silver top 94' patrol. Its an NZ new one and has a Zexel (bosh) inline pump. I hear they are a little different from your standard rotary style pump to turbo?

can't remember if nz ones were ecu controlled or the earlier pump... from the photo the first thing noticed will be the need for the pressure diaphragm or "boost compensator" to vary the fuel/advance when the turbo goes on boost.
Waiter...there is a drought in my glass.
Re: TD42 +T for an Inline Pump
The compinsator reduces of boost fuel , they are all mechinical pumps the electric bit is for the gearbox , the only real differene is the n/a rotary pump has a 10mm plunger instead of 11 on the turbo , im not that sure about your inline one but if your after a turbo kit dont want to #### around with chinese shit thats all over trademe it costs 4 to 6500 to do properly (thats fitted ,
We have high quality kits with a range of turbos but if you want the cheap dsr / scarles turbos , only a poor man pays twice !!
If you want to tune it quite a bit keep in mind the n/a pump runs more plunger lift so you should pull the timing back slightly , (n/a is around .84mm and turbo .6to.7 ish (off the top of my head , )

Its 0.74
Re: TD42 +T for an Inline Pump
sounds like it might be possible to put a sd33t pump back onto these - boost comp and bigger plunger - which is the best shop to talk to about this sort of mod?
