Been throwing round an idea with a mate about building up a efi controler to fumigate LPG..... just curious to see if there are any MS savy folk out there

Assuming we're talking about a diesel, it is very easily done with a megasquirt. All it does is regulate the amount of lpg flow in relation to boost pressure (there are cheaper mechanical solutions for this). You could build a map to take into account a few different parameters (EGT, water temp, tps) however a much cheaper (and probably easier) solution would just be to use the likes of an arduino

Hi Reece, can't help with Mega Squirt :( , but if my old memory serves me right, back in 2009 there was a good thread 8) on LPG fumigation I think he was a good friend of DB's , Wop's and a few others old time members :? , went by the name of KIWIBACON  , he hasn't been on here for a few years but he was an "exsquirt" oops spelling, on Fumigation or so he believed, once again my memory an't that good, anyway flick him a PM and i'm sure he will be able to steer you (up the garden path) in the right direction  .

HAPPY TO BE OF ASSISTANCE,

FITZY.

Yea I know, this idea came about from a mates thought we could use the ecu from a 4 cylinder petrol along with all the other sensors MAF, O2, ambiante air temp and knock along with the safety from water temp, pyro etc

the big hitch is to use the knock (the most important) we were looking at adding alsorts of systems to use it to reduce gas flow... it was suggested to me to use MS and program it... it now has a daughter board that allows the use of C+ Im rusty as its been a few yrs (over a decade lol) since I used it but I know the language so

basicly Im talking about a self tuning lpg fumigation with multiple safetys so I remove all the faults the mech systems have and can run higher flow safely

LOL read that, there was some good stuff on it Ive been doing alot of reading on the subject lately

the tuff dog and other aussy "latest gen systems" work a water temp safety with a boost controled map alot better than the mechanical systems but still has issues

Now just yall understand this is something I plan on taking my time with  I dont have anything with a diesel motor other than my poor ex stolen mistral and thats in too bad a state to use
