Im a dirty mitzi owner now. Bought a challenger for the summer. So far I like it but it needs some bits and pieces sorted. Im looking for a snorkel and some advice on where to mount hooks. Tyre recommendations ect. Also It seems a tad gutless is this normal for the 96 2.8 tdi. Not too bad but by no means a fast thing. Thanks boys.

We looked at them when lookin for a family car. As I understand it they are mostly a Paj in a different body, its not like MMC went out and made a whole new 4wd for a small run....

yea i suppose, wouldnt call it a small run tho as they still make em now,
thats good to know tho. my buyers remorse is fading now and im starting to quite enjoy it. i know i will more ones ive sorted some bigger tyres for it. its on 30s right now. i think it needs to be on 31s

I think they came factory on 265/70r15s or 31s as their options?
love my mitsi. had a brilliant run out of it.

Dont get me wrong not baggin them I feel they are a lot of 4wd for your dollar and I think the only prob would be gettin panels for them as the running gear would be stock (paj) - mitsy more or less
Buyers remorse? Why worry about what others may think

as long as you like it

oh for sure its a good wagon, its the nicest vech ive ever owned actually.
im just like that when i buy things. especially trucks. i loose sleep thinking about all the little things i didnt check or ask the previous owner, untill i realize its ok. i actually really like it now and im glad i chose it over the surf i was looking at. there was no way i could get one of them with the features i needed for the same money. i wanted a diesel, air bags, auto, 4wd, comfort, and not thrashed. new set of rubber and it will be pefect for my needs,

I ran one for a while and it was very awesome, ran 31" ATs on it stock standard and it went places. Had exactly the same delema as you, wanted a surf but for the price and comfort could not go past challenger. We have had it over 8 years in the family. My dad drove it for ages and now my brother has it. Dad used it to tow a 1.5 ton caravan all over NZ and went on a few tag along 4x4 trips with it.....and quietly I think they are the better lookning 4x4 on the road....and amazing features like full lie down seats right through to the dash, great for those trips to mitre10 when you go in for a box of nails and come out with a whole new fence.....anyway same as always, look after it and it will keep getting you there and back.

a mate had one 2'' lift 32'' tyres big offset helps. bulbar, winch lockers front and rear,
he had good run with it, the front wheel alinement jumped around a bit with big wheels.
we totoed with rear shocks as old man emu ones broke the mounts off diff wants to move in a arc when flexing shocks vertical and don't like that much

copy the photo and get some one local to knock one up to suit, as you need tyre size, what you want to hang off it

Nice truck.
The Challenger does seem to have good features and durability.
