Vitara Starter Motor

Post by Nato »

Starting to get some pretty nasty grinding noises straight after startup on my Vitara for about 3 seconds. Is this fixable? Or do I need to go get a new one or one from the wreckers? Dont want to spend too much so any advise appreciated (poor student). Any idea what this will cost me?

Thought reconditioning sounded a bit steep so got a second hand one from wrecker for $80 and put that in. Old one had started grinding metal off the teeth that hook it up.
