Does anybody have any idea who to speak to about accessing Molesworth Station over the Xmas break or how to get there if I don't need to contact them beforehand. Cheers

Check the DoC website www.doc.govt.nz and search the word Molesworth. You may need to apply for an 'activity permit'.

If you plan to investigate the unformed legal roads, then talk with the Walking Access Commission, as they have been marking out on the ground some of the ULR.

Probably going to blat through here in Feb on the bike. Maybe a night in Hamner or better yet at Lake Tennyson and the Porika track, maybe Leatham the next day as well?

Will see if anyone is keen closer to the time.

"There are still parts of Molesworth people can't go to because of operational requirements or staff privacy, so there are still significant areas that the public aren't coming to, but there is an opportunity to prove you can have public access, farming, conservation and recreation hand in hand.

That sounds promising.
