Stolen significant Starlet rally car JQ5753 Royce Watson's

Stolen from Nelson last night.

Seen at around 4pm today being driven south from Reefton towards Chch etc.

The late Royce Watson (killed rallying at Hanmer earlier this year) used to rally this car. It belongs to his brother Craig. Royce was a true legend in NZ rallying circles. Please help his family find their touchstone to Royce.

Has MAXIM in large letters along the side and of course, the cage is obvious too.

Latest update. Sounds like the sighting near Springs Junction was a different car but garage is reviewing security footage.

However there was a definite sighting of it being towed from the Moutere towards Motueka on Sat night around 10.00-10.15pm by a 4WD - prado/isuzu. SO everyone in Mot/takaka/nelson keep your eyes and ears open. Got some unique bits on it so if someone tries to strip it and sell it, then we may still find the little shits.

Just to update, vehicle was recovered, stripped and in a very sad state from the sounds of things, apparently the butchers even tried to cut the cage out of it
Unsure if anyone was apprehended as a result.
