what do these Autos do that tells you the trans is stuffed what are the things to look for that can tell you your in for a big bill

It will float in and out of over drive the oil will be a manuka honey colour.
Line pressure solenoid if worn will make for jerky gear changes. or very slow gear changes...depends on if its stiff or flogged out.
Torque converter may not lock up properly
usual signs

Probably the same thing any auto does..
Trans fluid smells burnt.
Slow to change into gear from N.
No gears at all.
Wont go into OD.
Wont drop out of OD when you press the button.
Clunky gear changes. Or very long ones.
Wont kick down.
Noisy.
Worse fuel economy than usual.

Only posting this as phil has had a hard time on here, left for a bit and now has returned bringing improved his grammar and spelling, hopefully suggesting also an improvement of attitude??

Yes I agree, he has a lot more to improve with grammar etc.
Not unconvinced myself either, was just hoping for the best.

I see this what does an Auto do that shows its stuffed as a valid subject
and its all over because of a child
when is this dump getting its members sorted
