FS - 1990 Nissan Safari turbo ute

Post by Taz »

Aiming to $1R this on trademe before Christmas. I've half heartedly tried to sell it before but it is going this time as I would like to put some money into other interests.

Decent offer beforehand might take it but once it is on trademe it will be sold through trademe at a $1R.

May part trade for duel purpose motorcycle (LAMs approved), CBR600, musical instruments/amps or circus midgets.

Would prefer if people made the effort to view or had someone view for them rather than go off my opinion of it's condition in case expectations vary.

Located 30mins outside of Christchurch.

CERTED
1990 LWB cut down into single cab ute
KKK T27 low mount turbo (Steve Murch custom)
Front mount intercooler fitted
Between 280 and 290,000kms from memory
WRX bucket seats
Open front, LSD rear diffs
Adjustable ranchos up front, unsure of rears from memory
Gusseted front diff housing
33" Goodyear Wranglers
Not sure of the lift, looks like maybe 4" at a vague guess. Will have to check the plate.
Certed for the chop, lift, 15x10 rims and 35's (although I don't have a copy of the paperwork, 15x10 is stamped on the plate)
Exhaust is stainless till halfway along the passenger door

There was murmurings of a performance cam when I bought this, but if there is it makes fark all difference XD

No WOF, Rego on hold.

I haven't taken it for a WOF since it ran out, but I know it WILL need new bush for one of the front arms and (although I doubt they'd notice) a new stud as I stripped one  Both supplied.

Think that's the guts of it.

Other odds and sods possibly negoitable with sale including complete PTO setup (controls and output still fitted to truck), 35" Trapadors, spare front diff, DTS top mount turbo setup (purchased before truck), 12v 9500lbs 'highspeed' warn winch, snorkel (unfitted).

Trying to find an under bonnet pic. It's nothing pretty.

Make me an offer I can't refuse?

Depends what you want with it I guess? I paid 9k for it 3 years ago, I'm expecting and would accept considerably less than that.

At auction I would hope to get between $4,000 and $7,000 if that gives a better indication.

Bump for more pics.

These ones are to big to embed:

Re the milk carton mod on the back  I had to get some proper fuel rated hose for it and planned to change decks and move the tanks, so I left it long. I butchered the decking around the hole but it is shit anyway, I have some actual decking I could throw in but it is the thick stuff (hence why it's not on it already XD)

I also have a king cab deck for it, but it is in Nelson and I'm not picking it myself sorry up due to fuel and time costs, but it can go with it if someone wants it. 2.2m long from memory.

Also note the old man said today it will want new batteries. He charged them and they started it but wouldn't do so again a few days later.

This caravan has to go as well. Going to throw it on tardme for 1k reserve (dads orders) and see what happens.

It's an old South Power smoko hut, so two rooms and a toilet. Yell if you're interested and I'll nab some details. It ain't pretty, but it could be put back on the road or used for storage/work room/hut.

Also located 30 mins south of Chch.

It's certed for 3 midgets actually. Used to be their tour wagon.

They used to drive it like this, except from the front seat.

Got to mull on it over a feed (never make a decision on an empty stomach haha) but it looks like she will be heading back up North 8)

Is there a build thread on this ute? Just brought it picking it up this Friday, did it have a mid mount pto winch at some stage?
