Maybe a day early but I went for a cruise up the Waimak to the gorge and my dog launched himself out of the window at 75kph. That was the end of my drive! He's been in care overnight and having x-rays today. Fingers crossed! Hope everyone has a great first weekend of summer....

3 of us headed into Sutherlands Hut for track clearing and tidy up around the Hut ready for Christmas visitors. The heavy rains have rutted the track a lot and high winds over night bought a small tree down over the track.

Just awesome to head in with friends and enjoy driving and working together.

Next project is to mount my new winch  thanks Santa

Stuffed around with my Hilux and got it started for the first time in about 8 months. Then extracted the rear diff out of my Suzuki so I can get a lock-right fitted.
Also bought a new tool - a cordless impact wrench

Spent Friday and Saturday working on Caleb (Filthy4x4) Safari but I'll let him tell you about that.

Today I was working on my project. Diff now has all the mounts finished except for the steering ram but we'll sort that when it arrives. Cheers calum007 for sorting it for me so far. Craig also got the alloy tank fittings and tank welded. Just awaiting the sender then it can be finished up.

Looking for a pair of series 2/3 landrover drive shafts. Not worried about the uj's as I only need the spline.

Cheers

Went hunting in the safari for my wife's wrx that got stolen on Wednesday night. No luck, almost got stuck going through a track into bush to check if our car seats had been dumped but nothing there as well.

Got a lead its I. kaitaia so anyone in the far north could keep out for a Black WRX with gold wheels rego CUF44.
Been spotted around Pukepoto Rd and Bonnett Rd a few times. Police said to us "its just a boy racer car, not on our priority of things to do" so look so like going 4kms+ over the speed limit is on the top of the list.

Highly frustrated as we had to go out and spend $650 on car seats today.

But at least the truck saw some mud lol.

Installed a CB in "Te Rino" and fixed the gas struts in the boot.
Also landed a great deal on a Bighorn intercooler so that's the summer project once my holiday gets started

Spent the weekend down waiouru on the offlimits safari. Had a blast, found some mud holes and some technicle parts to keep the punters smiling. And wagon didnt miss a beat. Had to get pulled out once, (because some dumass forgot to stick it back in 4wd after a road section!). Good fun had by all!

So I got a new 4" Grinder and needed to test it out on something... I turned it on and it was so powerful it just sucked my truck into it

I take my hat off to all your sheet metal workers, panel steel is a pain in the ass to weld... The smallest I know how to weld is 6mm  this was my first time doing any panel work...

Any tips and tricks feel free to voice them  You are very welcome to have an opinion, as long as you keep it to yourself
