Question??
Does the factory LC electric winch spool in over the top of the drum or underneath the drum?
All the A/M winches that i have installed always spooled in underneath the drum
But im currently mounting a 80 winch onto my buggy and best that i can work out it spools in on over the top of the drum.
Its got no rope on it so im going off the the rope securing bracket on the side of the drum where you would secure the rope to start winding it on
Answers please
Cheers Rohan

cheers Kelvin
i thought that was the way it was supposed to go
that would explain the large alloy bracket at the front of the winch mounting.
in guessing its a compression loading mount otherwise its just relying on the pull strength of the bottom bolts.
once again Mr Toyota doing fine threaded bolts into alloy housings!!!
oh off subject had some bloke sell me some magic releasing oil stuff from "worth" called blue ice or something similar,,,its crap
had three bolts snapped off on that front alloy bracket on the winch, the bloke said this will be the stuff to do it...WRONG...
went back to tried and tested drilled a 5-7mm deep hole into the broken stud slid a nut over the stud, mig on hot filled the drilled hole and continued up filling the nut as well. all three bolts extracted, the first bolt i had to do twice as i think the mig was a little to cold second time mint
bitchin over
cheers
