I am contemplating building another trailer and am looking around for hub ideas . I am after a small wheel so think maybe drum brakes may be a better option than disc .
I was looking at Econovan maxi rear hubs as they have a nice small wheel and seem to be fully floating , but then thought the dual wheel could be too wide .
So looking for something similar or something you have seen adapted easily before . I guess the catch is it needs to be some sort of stub axle or full floating . I have used the front of a Hilux before but the brakes are too big for a small wheel .
Drum brakes are getting hard to find now . Any ideas fire away .
Cheers
Chris

Re: Trailer hubs/wheels ideas
why not off the shelf trojen etc ?
they do small rims with low profile tires. with disc or drum.
what sort of load weight are you wanting to put on it?

Go to a wrecking yard and look at some small front wheel drive jap cars like corollas and mirages from the early 90's some of them run a solid rear axle. It would only suit a light trailer unless you beef one up

I have a set of trojan Axles, one braked, one not with 5 rims and tyres if you interested. Off a car transporter so quite a wide track.
