if its the diesel, watch timing chains, timing chain tensioner, 4x4 switches.
i can't remember which year but there has been recalls for rear axles and a few other bits.
easy to damage ABS lines and don't run the fuel tank down low.

Just going off one of my customers ones he has owned since new but they are all the same if use off road or on the farm,
2 or 3 sets of front wheel bearings , (under engineered )
2 sets of front upper ball joints ,
front and rear drive shaft crosses ,
2 sets of injectors ,
onto the second pdf ,
second turbo ,
window switches and central locking switches galore , (renult made crap )
alternator pulley clutch ,
2x clock springs for airbag ,
, Along with all the other generic stuff that wears in all cars
Every person i no that owns one and purchased them new got over 10,000 of warantee work done to them in the first 3 years via nissan and two went on the tow truck twice ,
Imo Fine for general road use but if you want to do offroad work and lots of farm use , Sell it before it bankrupts you !!!

yeah I have heard of a few of the above and am asuming with 235k on the clock most issues have been sorted, ie chain tensioner and the replacment wheels went on last month.

As for the oil, I did a change today, found out they use a semi syn the privious owner used full syn so thats what I used... manuals of 06 dont need the special DPF safe oil altho the autos do.

been up the river the other day and hassled the 4x4 a bit, seemed ok tho just dosent feel as robust as me old D21 or have the ground clearance, used ta push that up, down and through anything, wont be doing so much of that now with under5yr olds, into DOC huts etc tho.
