Hi just wondering what is required to do cross-over steering for a 1990 Hilux with a 3rz engine and is it possible to remote mount the oil filter on these engines??
I'm having problems with diff coming up and hitting the oil filter even though we've put a smaller filter on.
What's needed and what needs to be altered for these??

Hi,
what type of engine mounts do you have? as mine was a yn60 the mounts didnt quite work so got chassis mounts out of a ln46 I bent down the top plate that was sitting flat on the top off the chassis
so it moved where they weld on about 25mm higher, flexed it up the other day on a pile of gravel and it all seems to clear, high steer would prob be best for a lot more reasons but temp or cheap fix I think you will be able to get a trademe remote filter kit?
thanks stu

I would try everything you can to leave the oil filter where it is( adapt a 90 deg fitting onto the main housing ?).. as there is big discussions about the pros and cons on remote setup.. can't think where on here.. basically if you don't get it right you'll toast ya engine because of loss of oil pressure.. Just research a lot before you take the plunge..
