Arrived home at 5:30am after doing Thompsons Track... Took 14 hours to to Te Aroha to Kati (bomb site) and back

Huge thanks to Steve (Monstr) for putting up with me as a navi

Was an awesome trip, our group all drove out under our own steam after a few minor issues.

took a friend up odlins road as far as the tank traps in his new to him surf on 35s.

Been doing some more exploring, found some mean tracks but wasn't keen to have a go without winch.

Had a blast up some forestry tracks to make the best of the rain in whangamata. Some pretty cool places in the hills there. Got my lady driving too.

Just finished loading up and we are off to camp on the other side of Maling Pass in the St James for a day or 3. Really looking forward to it just waiting for my wife to decide the house has been vacuumed enough

Just rebuilt my front hubs all bearing and seals replaced and cleaned out (6x cans of degreaser) and re greased with cv grease. all to get to the inner seal that was leaking so decided to replace all other bits seen as it was all off. Glad its all done and tightened up

Hey mate, how well did the utv go in there? Ive been thinking about getting one.

That UTV looks like the ducks nuts! Wonder how long before they become popular enough to run in trials / winch challenge / offroad racing (if they aren't doing so now). I would envisage another class being created for them specifically - doesnt seem fair on factory 4wds to go head to head .

How do they compare with the usual suspects? I assume they have to be trailered though.

Heath, they already have their own class. Got a couple of mates who race them on the North Island.

That one is the new 1000cc. Goes pretty good due to power to weight ratio.

Pretty cool bit of kit if you dont mind wearing alot of mud

Can kit them out with wicked sound systems, twin lockers etc

Ticks all the boxes except for the price tag I think I would rather build a very nice truck instead
