The hub split in three pices cv snapped clean in half again.Powerd by 350 chev think this is the problem. Going to look for chromoly cvs and do away with the manual hubs just want a reliably strong set up.

Hi,
Surprised an Aisin hub split, you sure it wasn't some other brand.
If you are going to use Longfield axles and CV's and want to maintain the Longfield warranty you will need to use Longfield drive flanges.

Can help with both, PM me if interested have a look at http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/Forums/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=32760

Cheers
Tim

You can now buy Aisin look alikes ...they aren't as good as the real Aisin.

Can use 27 spline longfield CV's which will make your axles the weak link.
If you are breaking genuine Aisin FWH's have a 350 Chev and drive reasonably hard then you would probably be better off with the 30 spline supersets.
If you want to go 27 spline longfields have got some as well.
Or other option is Trailgear CrMo better than stock CV's, have some of these as well.
Cheers
Tim

Got a set of 27 spline long flange ( early 27 spline ) can be machined to short length.
and a set of 27 spline short flange ( later, 70 series ) end caps are a we bit loose.
