ok lets get serous..
first how much have you got to spend? what ever you think you have x3 at lest
2 how much skills and tools do you or very good mates /family have ? are they willing to work for beers/free
3 what exactly do you want out of your truck? winch challange to weekend warrior or Auckland hairdresser run-a-bout
All this depends on what you want for a suitable motor.
I used to do this for a living and only about 1 customer in 10 would have have any idea in whats involved with a good preperation starts with motor then gearbox then diffs then suspension then brakes then tires then... then... the list goes on

Im thinking 3k or4k toyota or 1200 datto nothing to serious but just a little more ompfff than the little 1l thats in her now. And no shortage on the experiance front just looking for a motor. 3k seems to be a popular conversion

Why? Suzuki G13 will be lighter, still Suzuki :D and it would be easier to swap in. Just need a motor, gearbox and the chassis mounts. Then if you decide you want more you can swap to a G16.
