Vitara CV Shaft Lengths

Can anyone confirm the length of a Vitara CV shaft (output flange side, ie long side of the diff) from output flange to seal face, as well as the total length? This is for a 1996 1.6 SWB, not the V6. I have some confusion about whether there are two different lengths available between V6 and 1600.
Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

From what i've heard the V6 is a wee bit longer then the 1600 in length, I assume its obviously to compensate for the wider track width..
I have a V6 passenger's side axle sitting in the garage if you do want the measurement's it wont be much of a hassle ?,
How-ever hopefully someone can put up the length of the 1600 axle shaft as i have always been curious as too the difference in length's..

Hi Ross
I get 385mm from flange to seal face and about 510mm over all.
Cheers Woody.

Hey Woody
Thanks. That 25mm shorter than the one we have? It's labelled as being for a 5dr V6.
We might be about to make a mistake. Might see if I can get the ones in our zuk measured to be certain.
It sucks having everything in different cities.

The 1600 early escudos/vitara are the shortest front axles
the early V6 shape are the longest front axles (approx 20mm longer), and the 98-05 shape Grand vitaras are smack bang in the middle between the two.
