D21 Terrano - 4x4 selector/main seal leak

Post by Campott »

Hi guys, my 4x4 selector joint is rusted and it isn't a common item on shelves. The part is located underneath the 4x4 selector stick on the side of the gear box. It will need replacing soon.

Can anyone help me with a spare part here or advise a supplier?
I have a D21 Terrano, TD27 Manual 4x4. I live in Tauranga/work in Katikati.

On another note, can anyone suggest a supplier for engine sump gaskets? And engine to bell-housing main seals?
Looks like I have a leak here and may as well do everything at once. Is there anything I should look out for or do when I have everything apart?

Cheers!!
Cam.

I've always used Windscreen glue or automotive urethane for gaskets on nissan engines, the tolerances are such you can do with out too much hassle.

As for the rear mainseal BNT supercheap partmaster anyone like that should have them.

As for the 4x4 selector it has the same part number as the autobox so should be plenty around. i.e wrecker's same transfer case as mistral too and everytime ive been to the wrecker they usually have 4 or 5 of them stacked up in piles as the body rusts out under the rear seat and for most people it's too expensive to fix so the trucks get written off.
Waiter...there is a drought in my glass.
