Surf brake failure

Driving home from work today, right hand rear shoe decided to part company from the backing plate and loose its retainer bits which lead to grinding and rubbing and heavy pulsing of the pedal.

Took it apart at home (what a blood mission, shoes wedged firmly in grooves took a crow bar and 15" stilsons levering the dam thing off) brakes are pretty much destroyed, diff seals leaking, bearing collapsed and I believe the other side is the same. god i love 4wds - bring on the disc, v8 and sas conversion!
