surf died

hey guys i was driving home the other day when the truck lost power and died i could not start it so with the wife cranking it over i pumped the hand primer till it fired up. it only drove 200 odd metres down the road till doing the same. question is where should i start? its a 94 3ltr turbo diesel

Its running the dreaded 1KZ TE engine, so start with the ECU

My guess , ECU , injector pump or the pump on top of fuel filter.

ive had the ecu rebuilt a few months ago
