squeezing 35s under ln130

Post by jade_l »

Hi fellas ive got a set of 35" kl71s arriving in the next week or so and would like to get truck ready for them before they arrive.
What would the bare minimum be to get them under the surf?
I think its already got 2" susp lift (anybody got some measurements over standard height so I can check)
Guessing a 2" lift will get them under? Or can I get away with 1" BL and use a offset that would stop them from rubbing?

Cheers

Hi. I think you will stuggle to get 35s under with a 2inch lift. They will go under but will rub a lot when turning and articulating. My 33s did that on my kzn130, with a 2inch suspension lift.

and your front diff/cv's wont handle them... a 2inch body lift aswell as suspension would help but will still rub like said above. the front diff is only 7.5inch and are only build to handle a max of 32inch tyres..

fitting them under there's usually the easy bit trying to turn them and minimising broken drive train is the hard bit :D

May well of bit off a bit more than I can chew lol, but ill still try them out and maybe sell on and buy a more appropriate size tyre.
Quite a bit cheaper than the 33" equivalent.
What kind of offset should I be running on say a set of 15x8s with 35/12.5/15?
And also how much diff drop should I be putting in to compensate for a pair of 25mm ball joint spacers?

Cheers

Not going to be easy but I have seen it done. If you are not looking for articulation and just want big tyres then 2in suspension lift and 3in body lift should get them in there......The guy i bought my 33's off had a ln130 and he was selling them to me as he had just gone to 35's. He had spend a bit of money on the front suspension and didnt use it off road tho.
