Thought I was reasonably bright, but cannot find TDC to check tappets.
Haynes manual shows a toothed plate next to crank flywheel, can't find it !
Found 2 marks about 20mm apart on flywheel but can't see what to align these flywheel marks with. She a 1988 if that makes any difference.
Any help and picture greatly appreciated.
cheers

Mark on front pulley and ridge on front alloy cover , 1 mark is tdc and the other a timing mark , Check your rocker faces and shaft for wear they are almost alwayd fucked ,
We reface the rockers for 150 and new nissan rocker shafts for 225 inc gst

Think I may just be blind and/or thick !
The crankcase pulley has 2 marks but can't see the line up marks on any alloy cover ! Is it best to look up from beneath the vehicle or in through the top to find the line up point ? Can you better describe exactly where to look for the line up point ?
cheers

All done ! Bloody hard to see, was easier to remove bottom plate under the motor and shove my hand up and feel for the raised marker point.
Picture made all the difference
