Hello Folks
My SWB Safari has a ECB front bar/nudge setup, it looks substantial but is the usual alloy “eye-candy”. Having said that I kinda like it, and despite the fact that it reduces the approach angle, I want to keep it, at least till it does get hung up and wrecked.
I’m making up a chassis extension to sit behind it to take recovery hooks and a winch.
I can either put the winch behind the bar (without further reducing the approach angle), or high up (in front of the grill) above the bar.
So any thoughts – is a winch best as low as possible, or is higher preferable, what are the compromises ??
Thanks

Hi Tentman,
Im just going through the same process, there is a lot of discussion on the forums here about mounting winches. Do a search and take what you need from them and adapt to suit yourself.
