HELP TRACK DOWN THOSE WHO BURNT OUT THE PAJERO ROUND RED ROCKS

It was a Red 90's soft top Pajero.

It is now the hazard before Karori stream. on The long sandy beach.

Mid afternoon on the 29th a grey Nissan Terrano and a maroon / red early 90's Toyota Surf with no rear bumper were seen trying to recover the vehicle with driver in Pajero

Later that evening it was on fire. The police would like to speak with the drivers of all vehicles involved.

Any more detail on this?

WTF went wrong there? is this going on now ?

I was in there last night approx 10pm.
On the way out I saw two police Isuzu pickups heading in, about 1km past the Devils Gate thing.

Then at the carpark area there were two more police Holdens. Looked like they were up to something, probably just a coincidence unless they are now using time travel to prevent crimes before they actually happen

What's your numberplate and were you with the red surf who burnt it?

I was there alone, I said hi to the Police as I idled past.

The story wouldn't be complete without mentioning the two stuck coppers who went out to look.

I'm lost. Theres just no consistency to the information you are providing. You need to clarify who took that photo, when, and why you believe a grey Terrano and red Surf are the perpetrators of what appears to be a crime of theft/arson.

You have indicated that you have some intelligence into what happened, but the information you have provided doesn't add up. This puts you in a potentially vulnerable position as being an accomplice.

1. Who took that photo, and when?
2. Who are the 2 guys in the photo?
3. Given that the Police are in there frequently, Why would Police presence over 12 hours prior to the crime have anything to do with it?
4. How do you know that the Police got stuck?
5. Where did they get stuck, and when?
6. How did you come to the conclusion that a grey Terrano and Red Surf were responsible for this?
7. Did you witness all or part of this crime taking place? The fire is still blazing in the photo
8. Can you identify the vehicle that was vandalized?
9. What interest do you have in pursuing this investigation? Do you have something personally to gain?

You really need to get your facts straight to protect yourself.

i believe its probably an insurance job - but #### them, they could have chosen a million spots to burn it out in wellignton - NOT AT RED ROCKS

I feel gutted everytime someone hurts the access for 4wd to red rocks.
I've seen plenty of good people come out off their own backs and time to do a big clean up of the beach, then this happens and undoes all the good work put in & then some.

I will be looking into this further as well.

Quite sickening to see really. Hope they find out who's responsible and I'll be keeping an eye out

The burnt out shells still there.trying g to get the council to get rid of it but they are bit slow.
Worried the sea will sink it in permanent next southerly.

I took a pic of a surf with no bumper today but before I head out to defame someone in a witch hunt I would like a few more details about it.

Did it have a lift or mags or a snorkel or a front bar or any other features which will make it stand out from every other surf out there ??

my mate has a red surf with no bumber as do many others? any more info on either of these two trucks?

I've seen them before an rehrwtfullt prob towed the Terrano out when stuck in sand previous

I've spent a few years getting round the south coast and you get to know the different regulars from batch owners to rec Samoan snorkellers

went round there on saturday , was pretty hard to tell from whats left of it was once a pajero.

hey guys if this is the right vehicle, my brother and i were the ones trying to pull him out at the start, i am the driver of the surf, we tried to get him out but didnt have a long enough snap strap for both trucks so we carried on ahead, later on in the day we came back to find him still there and 2 other trucks trying to pull him out, my bro tried to help pull him out again i got stuck so i was no help lol, then with no luck we left red rocks around 5 to go home, sorry to hear about this, such a waste.

Makes me wonder how many cars are actually in the sea out there. Anyone know of any?

just reguarding the red surfs with no back bumpers id say that's the easiest mod on surfs and the most common its like saying the driver had black tyres mate may just pay to get some more indepth details ay bro

no one wants to see this bullshit happen but sadly it dose when little ##### come out to the rocks

why don't we just orginise to get it shifted the we look like good ##### then the council wont be dicks about access??

Didnt see any form of trashed pajero on sunday evening

Seems its been replaced by a rolled and bowled mistral with keys still in ignition at south end of the same beach
