Speedo cluster

My speedo has been playing up . It's a electronic speedo with the 2lte engine . It sometimes goes and sometimes dosnt . And now the temp gauge has gone as we'll ??

temp gauge could just be the connection on the sender on the engine.
speedo, really common for the circuit board to corrode. pull it out of the dash, clean it up, repair any corroded tracks and bad solder joins.
other thing is to check the sender, make sure cable hasn't been damaged.

Ok thanks will have a look tomorrow . When you say pull it out and have a look is the blue circuit paper on the back or do I have to unscrew the speedo off this and cheek that ?

temp sender is in the thermostat housing

Ok cool I've had a look and there's 2 different wires ones a green one and is directly infront of you as you look in and the other is on the right down abit lower ?

there can be 3 temp sensors in the thermostat housing.
it can vary a bit from year to year but i think the one you want is the one at the passenger side of the housing (the housing that has the radiator cap).
easy to test, pull the wire off and earth it. gauge should read max.

Ok awsome there's two wires one looks like it goes to the CDs fan or somthing
