Te Awamuta Rotary trip - Waitomo

Who's coming to this next weekend.
It'll be my second safari/tag a long trip in a 4wd. First outing for my bighorn.

The pics I saw from the last one looked a lot better than most safari trips I have been on
80 Series on 35" creepies, manual with twin factory lockers.

I did this one two years ago, excellent trip indeed, but a LOT of vehicles, I think well over 100 so a lot of waiting around if there was a hold up in front which happened a lot.

David Samuel and Greg Paul did a great job of organising and running it.
Keeping people informed of what was going on ahead was lacking but maybe fixed the following year. The people doing recoveries seemed more like farmers than a 4WD club members as some of the methods used were not how things are done in the two clubs i am in.

Sadly last year and also this year wife wanted to go to Napier's Art Deco instead which clashes. Maybe next year I will get there if it is still on with these new rule changes.
