Hi,got this truck to tow a boat.
1st timer with Disco`s.
Anyways, drove 50 odd K`s briefly turned engine off would not start.
Jump started OK.
2 weeks later (went overseas) expecting to jump start it again, motor turn over fine.
Good battery.
Is a sensor getting too hot and the ECU getting signals crossed some how?
Previous owner removed the catalytic fruit from the exhaust system.
Could this be an issue too?
Any good Disco mechanic/tech in the Sth Akld area.

Re: Disco SE electrical issues
start with the basics and remove and clean the battery terminals and check the earth leads.

Re: Disco SE electrical issues
I have wrapped some heat deflecting ducting wrap around the ignition module on the dissy to see if that helps.

When I got mine it had a dead ignition module, it had already been relocated from the dizzy to an aluminium bracket on the inner wing. I replaced it with a Jaycar ignition kit which seems to be working ok
Re: Disco SE electrical issues
The reflective wrap seems to be working fine so far.
