Truck rolled back when in gear

I tried parking on a steap hill today, put handbrake on and left it in second gear. Didn't work and truck rolled back a tiny bit. So engine must have turned when off. It didnt start the 1st time when i tried but then started a second time. It didnt feel like it started as easy as it used to though? Is it bad for engine or gearbox? Should i be worried? Cheers.

1st gear and nothing can happen to it. high compression = better holding, low compression = shit holding and may start by itself if ignition is on.
